REGISTRATION PACKAGE
→ STEP ONE: Orientation phone call
When your school is ready to register, a staff member from The Robb Nash Project will arrange an initial phone call with you to get you started.
You are welcome to include as many staff members in this phone call as you feel appropriate.
During this phone call, we will discuss all the information in this package and answer any questions you may have.
Here are some FAQ’s
→ STEP TWO: Things to know before you register
You have 3 months to complete the 4 modules included in the course.
Each module will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Double classes often work best so you can complete one module all in one session.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are able to offer the program for FREE for a limited time. The normal fee for the curriculum is $450, which includes access for one school for up to 150 students and 10 qualified educators and/or mental health professionals.
→ STEP THREE: Registration
To register for the course, please fill out this form: Living Curriculum Registration Form.
This form must be submitted at least 1 week prior to your start date to allow time for technical set up.
Once we have received your registration form and completed your set up on the platform, you will receive an email with login instructions.
→ STEP FOUR: Before you start teaching
All instructors will have access to our Instructor Materials and Support section, which includes the instructor manual.
Please read through the instructor manual FIRST as it will show you how to activate the course for your students.
Before beginning the first module with your students, we recommend that you ensure that all students have successfully logged on and are able to access the course.
We recommend that you set up and test all logins a few days before you start teaching the class so there is time to address any issues that may arise.
**NOTE: If any of your students are unable to access the platform, please contact Karen Hampton at karen@robbnash.com immediately. It's often a case of a spelling mistake that can be easily corrected.
→ STEP FIVE: Troubleshooting
If one of your students forgets their password, they can manually reset it by following these steps:
Go to the login screen (https://learning.robbnash.com/d2l/login)
Enter the username
Click "Forgot your password?"
Follow the instructions
If you encounter any technical issues, please contact learning@robbnash.com for assistance.
→ STEP SIX: Students and Instructors complete the survey
Once you have completed the course, please have all students complete the survey at the end of module 4.
Please have all teachers complete the survey at the end of the Instructor Materials and Support section in the tab “Your Thoughts and Opinions”.
**NOTE: We deeply appreciate all instructors and students completing these surveys, as we use this information to continually improve. Thanks in advance!
→ Interim counselling available through LifeWorks
We understand that schools have limited counselling resources. That is why we are so pleased to announce our partnership with LifeWorks!
As students go through the different modules in the curriculum, they are asked to write their impressions and their story. Some of this work may bring the student to realize their need for help in getting through this time in their life.
We are partnering with LifeWorks to provide 3 free counselling sessions for a student who raises their hand through this program and asks for help.
Each participating school has access to this program for 5% of the students registered for the course.
For example, a school with 100 students registered in the course can refer up to 5 students who would each receive 3 hours of free counselling through LifeWorks.
These must be newly identified students who have raised their hand and asked for help for the first time. They also must be students whose parents do not have access to work insurance that would cover the cost of counseling.
